Shapovalov-Sonego, pronostico e scommesse

In this wonderful Monday, full of interesting matches, one of the most balanced on paper is undoubtedly the one between Denis Shapovalov and Lorenzo Sonego, at around 12.30 pm. The Canadian is not a lover of clay, even if last year in Rome he played a crazy match with Nadal, while Sonego in 2022 has lost a lot of the recklessness that had brought him to the top last year, with the summit precisely in Rome, when he reached a hard-fought semi-final with Djokovic.

In our opinion, the Turin-born player has already reached his limits (the usual discourse on tennis, the hardest sport of all, applies: we have not been journalists number 21 in the world, nor number 21,000), and as a marketer he is unlucky to have happened in an era with so many strong Italians, but in Rome he has the extra motivation of points to defend.

The Shapovalov seen losing to Murray in Madrid has in any case in our opinion a different displacement: in the pim pum pam, maybe in a bullfighting atmosphere (which cannot be in the early afternoon on Monday) there can be balance, but if you play tennis an average Shapovalov is superior in every situation. Right now we can play him at 2.04 and so we’ll put 50 euros on Shapovalov just to be alive.
